Director of Priory & International Affairs appointed

Posted on 18th September, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

It is a real pleasure to announce the appointment of Sarah Duthie as our new Director of Priory & International Affairs.

Sarah is currently the Public Engagement Director at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Prior to this, she has held other senior leadership roles within the heritage sector, including working with the Church of England. Sarah has an excellent track record of assisting charities to increase public engagement, deliver major projects and raise vital funds and revenues, working closely with volunteers and communities.

This appointment forms part of our new Executive Team and is an important step towards our future, recognising that our heritage and historic values are the foundation of all that we do. Sarah will be responsible for supporting the Prior and me to lead the work of the Priory and champion this across the charity and with the public.

Sarah will be joining us on 5 November and has said “I’m passionate about the heritage sector. St John has such a long and rich history and I feel honoured that I’m going to become part of it. I’m looking forward to discovering and telling its stories further so that more people can share in the incredible work of this organisation.”

You will hear more from Sarah when she starts, and I know you’ll give her a very warm welcome. In the meantime, please continue to give your support to the Priory Team.
