  • Tony Worth CVO

    14th November 2017

It is with great sadness that we report the death of the former Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, Tony Worth. He was a former President of the Order of St John, a Commander in the Order of St John and a great supporter of St John in Lincolnshire, particularly during the difficult period of regionalisation. Tony was appointed Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire in 2008, having previously been High Sheriff in 1990/91 and Vice Lord Lieutenant in 2002. He was the driving force behind the International Bomber Command Memorial & Visitor Centre recently opened on the edge of Lincoln as he wished the great contribution of Lincolnshire in the war effort to be remembered together with the many thousands who died and flew from the County. He was a past President of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a Member of the Board of the Country Land
